Every Candle, A Memory Rekindled
Petrichor was born from a smell.
That first dusty scent when rain hits the dry earth — the kind that fills the air in Sri Lanka just before a storm.
It’s the scent that takes me straight back to my grandmother’s verandah — rain gently tapping on the roof, paper boats floating along the puddles, a world paused and peaceful.
I wasn’t making candles back then.
But I was feeling things.
And I wanted to find a way to help others feel them too.
So I started pouring.
Not just wax — but memory, care, and that feeling of coming home.
Every candle is hand-poured in small batches in Brooklyn, Melbourne by me (and occasionally supervised by my dog), and lovingly packed by my husband and I, right here in our home.
It’s our family business — built on intention, not ego.
Crafted to bring you warmth, not perfection.
Because Petrichor isn’t about being fancy.
It’s about being felt.
It’s about that deep breath when the world slows down.
It’s about home — wherever that is for you.
